Platform-tier (PSN / Xbox / Nintendo)
Platform-tier restrictions sit above the anti-cheat layer. They are issued by the console operator (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) for community-conduct, payment, account-sharing and chargeback reasons. The procedure is governed by the platform terms rather than the publisher of any specific game.
Restriction tiers
- Communication ban
Restriction on messaging, voice and party features.
- Storefront / wallet ban
Restriction on purchases and wallet usage.
- Account suspension
Time-limited or permanent restriction on the entire platform account.
- Console-tier restriction
Restriction matched to the console serial; new accounts on the same console are also affected.
What it checks
- Community moderation reports and reviewer action
- Payment-graph and chargeback signals
- Cross-region account-sharing and resale signals
- Console serial and account binding
Identifiers it can use
- Console serial and platform account ID
- Linked payment instruments
- Communication content reported by other users
Points an appeal can make
- Platform-operator submission with the original notice and a fact timeline
- Bank statement evidence where the matter is payment-related
- EU consumer-rights pathway where the platform is acting in the EU market
How appeals are handled
- Platform tier sits above any single game; an appeal lifts the account restriction, not the in-game one
- Coordination with the publisher is required when both layers are restricted
Evidence to collect
- Platform notice and reference identifier
- Bank or card-issuer correspondence
- Console serial and registration history
